(Router to router connection) Possible for internet connection sharing?
Specifically, wireless router to wireless router. Since for us, it's all right to use LAN cable in between routers connection, we prefer using LAN cable rather than wireless (cause we think it's so handy).
W-Router A to W-Router B using a LAN cable for connection. Is it possible? The access points? WEP Keys? According to some websites I saw like this one : http://www.togaware.com/linux/survivor/R...outer.html There are things I need to set which I somehow understand. But the question is, what "TOOL" is needed to change these settings, (IP ADDRESS, DHCP, SUBNET, WAN etc etc..)? Another is, how can I know the RANGE of IP ADDRESS that will use of router A? My neighbor and I wants to share an internet connection. It's my first time to handle this kind of thing. I hope you can help us with our problem. Thank you. Ads |

i don't understand your questions, but the link provided is connecting second router to LAN port of Primary router
basically he is making second router as Switch, if you have 2 routers then you can disable dhcp on second router and make it as switch. if want to extend ports and looking for new device get a switch, don't waste time with complicated setup which will slow your internet connection too Ads |
