why can't i watch videos in google chrome?

how do i watch videos in google chrome?
i am not able to watch you tube videos or any other videos

Maybe its a missing plug in. But thats odd, you shouldn't have to download any java script or flash player if its already on your computer. Download it again on google chrome, see if that works.

This is enigmatic but probably you did not install Java and ActiveX for watching videos.

That's really strange considering that I also use Google chrome and never have any problems in playing any videos. In fact, in Firefox, I had to install a media player extension because sound wouldn't play for some videos, but when i installed chrome on my new computer, those videos played without installing any plugins.

You could try uninstalling and reinstalling Google Chrome (latest Beta) from http://www.google.com/chrome, and also try reinstalling Flash Player.

The best option - Install the latest version of Adobe flash player to get youtube working and videos working.
