How can I be happier (especially at school) when I can't stand my peers?

How can I be happier (especially at school) when I can't stand my peers?
I'm so sick of the typical teenagers in this country. All they care about is social media, horrible pop and r&b music, selfies, dumb apps, popular YouTube videos, and everything that is trending. I get so sick of them talking about what (insert name here) put on Instagram or their score on flappy birds. I'm sitting in class and see people sitting around taking pictures of themselves. And I hate how they always think it's odd that I don't talk all the time and only talk to a few people. I mean they try to talk to me, and that's nice of them, but they don't understand that I just don't like to talk nonstop (not that I would have much to talk about with them anyways). I hate that I have to almost be rude because I want to be left alone. I feel like it's making me so angry and bitter. I wish I could just enjoy school or at least be able to enjoy being around other teens.

It's okay to be honest with your the way you feel, but it's not their fault - they are just being who they think they are. I once read a comment that said "if you don't like your life, change it". This may apply to you too. Okay, I know that is vague, but just think of one little way you make a change so you can feel some relief. It could go from anger to resentment. Resentment feels better than anger, so you have made progress. Just give it a try and see what happens.
