Theres a guy in my mutal friends group that has caught my eye, he follows me on twitter/insta and likes my pics sometimes but Ive never talked to him or even hung out with him before. I really want to get to know him and become friends, should I dm him? His friend used to have a huge crush on me so im sure he knows who I am, we just have never talked before.

Would it be weird if I dmd him "hey" or something like that??
