ld work employee "happy anniversary"-foundout 10min be4 coming2 work via fb: now I'm deleted!!?
I thought I had a good connection with her at work! Like she's jewish from nyc and is the sales, marketing director for the hilton hotel we work at and I am the front desk agent. We kinda bonded on the whole jewish thing and out of love for Israel so I thought I would add her on fb!
10-20min before work I went on fb and noticed on my newsfeed that she said it was hers and her boy friends anniversary and how she found the love of her life. Then she made reference to how she's going to enjoy a night out on the town tonight.....blah, blah, blah. So when I went into work to work a 6pm-11pm shift I told her "happy anaversary"...and she smiled and said, thanks!
Now I just realized that she deleted me of of fb and I have work at 7am and will see her at 9am when she comes in!! I'm going to pretend I have a life and didn't check fb before work.

Any suggestions? Why do ya think she deleted me?? I was being creepy be saying "happy anniversary????" at work when I walked in?????

any suggestions would help.... I think I learned a lesson to never bring fb crap into the work setting!!!!

You did nothing wrong, but she didn't like the direction it was going. The separation between work and home can be an issue

I think you have done exactly the right thing. It may be hard but you must accept that you misread the signs and you have been rejected. She probably just thought she was being friendly but now she realises she was unwittingly leading you on and has put you straight, albeit in a cruel way. Don't think too badly of her, it is really hard to reject someone face to face, the FB thing was probably all she felt able to do. If you think about it, there are much nastier ways of doing it.
You both deserve credit for making the best of a very tricky situation. The best thing you can do now is back off, lick your wounds and look for a girlfriend somewhere else.
