How do I fix the "blank screen problem" with IE?
When I try to open Internet Explorer, all I get is a blank white screen with the search bar at the top. When I go over to the Tools button, almost all options are greyed out. This has been a problem since I got the laptop. It came with Windows 8 but I just updated to Windows 8.1.It did not fix the problem. It's very aggravating because when I try to download things, such as World of Warcraft updates, I cannot view the patch notes because it wants to open in Internet Explorer, and I can't find a way to open it with Google Chrome or any other browser. Google Chrome is my default browser too.

Does anyone know of a way to either fix IE or open links in another browser?

ok simply forget about internet explorer and go to firefox.com and download it, its free, safer and faster! internet explorer is trash and has cause so many people stress since it was released about a zillion years ago.

What should work is to reset it.Open IE,go to options, Advanced setting and then click on reset internet explorer. If that does not work I would check your connections setting in options. It's one or the other. You should also check this first.
