google chrome need help?

I can't export my bookmarks in google chrome, people told to restart my computer and uninstall and reinstall google chrome both of which i did and nothing worked. I still can't export the bookmarks. I need another way of getting my bookmarks. i'm reinstalling windows 7 and stuff and really need them.

Follow these steps (for Windows):

Click the Tools menu in Google Chrome.
Select Bookmark manager.
Click the Organize menu in the manager.
Select Export bookmarks.
Choose a location where you want your exported file to be saved, then click Save.
Google Chrome will export your bookmarks as a HTML file.

Do you have another browser other Google Chrome? Maybe that is why you can't export bookmarks -- because you have no bookmarks to export! If Hans Querty's answer did not help you I don't know what to tell you.
