I've never had a girlfriend and desperately want one? Help?! (Girls Only)?

First off, I want answers that actually ANSWER my question as to how to meet and or obtain a girlfriend. Sorry but I don't need to be told about how I don't need a girlfriend Blah blah blah. Anyway, I'll be 17 this year and I've never even kissed a girl. I struggle to be "myself" socially, whoever that is. I come a across as weird and polarizing, I don't know why exactly, maybe it's just anxiety. I feel really lonely and I just want someone cool to love. So many of the girls at my school either don't get my humour (usually satire based) don't listen to cool music (I would literally not go out with a girl if she didn't like Nirvana, sorry) etc etc. This will sound bad but I occasionally creep twitter accounts to find out more what people are like.( I'm sorry, I struggle). I get so nervous when it comes to approaching girls I'm attracted to and I always revert to being a jackass with my friends. The bottom line is I know that girls like my dream girl exist I've seen many of them on the internet etc, but I need to know how to find them. I'm smart, nice, good-looking enough, cool (if you get how, not in a popular kid way, more in a Catcher in the Rye way), I don't want to sleep with prostitutes when I'm older. I want a girl.

Put yourself out there. Instead of looking at these girls twitter accounts if you know them from more than just an internet prospective, then go talk to them or ask them on a date.

you should go to school dances or talk to the girls in your classess, once you've found the girl you like, talk to her, and laugh with her, and show that you're interested in her not any other girl, and then ask for her number or talk to her on face book and ask to hangout and then see if she likes you, done
