How can i store/save/transfer websites onto a a USB stick?
My hard drive is getting full, i've bookmarked a lot of websites i've come across over the years and instead of deleting them from my web browser can i transfer them onto a USB stick so i dont permantley loose them?

Yes - if it's Internet Explorer, there is a directory under your user account folder called 'Favourites' - just copy the whole thing and you can restore it back to the same place if you ever need to.

The location in Win 7 (and presumably 8) is:
C:\Users\(your name)\Favourites

Note that the Favourites folders only contain shortcuts and the size is trivial.
The bulk of the space to do with web pages is the browser cache.

That can be cleared from within the browser settings, or just get 'ccleaner' which will remove all the old internet cache files and also masses of leftovers and junk temporary files used by other programs.

It does not remove anything that is in use, just leftovers and redundant files.

Note that if you use Google Chrome rather than Internet Explorer and create a Google account, all your internet favourites are save to your account and automatically restored / synchronised with any other machines you use Chrome on, or after a re-install of Windows etc.
