make a free website and selling from it?

Just a random thought that came to mind after watching a tv program and surfing the net.
how would you go about creating a website that's free and then selling software from it.
soyou get free website builders then search the web for free software that you want to sell and then sell it at a cheep price (they do this on ebay) .is this legal and if it is how can people make money . when i look for software i look for free stuff to downloads.

anyway dose anyone do this fora living does it work and what kind of money can be made in it?

You can only sell products ie software, ebooks etc that you have the rights to re-sell. Products came with various licences allowing what you can do with the product such as:
PUO -Private Use Only - not able to re-sell
MRR-Master Resell Rights - unable to change product what allwed to resell
PLR-Private Label Rights - able to change/personalize product to make it unique

The software you have been downloading is probably just PUO. The best is PLR but to get started just look for MRR products.

These days for my online stores I use the free Wordpress script on self-hosted websites with the e-commerce plugin(paid) wp-Estore.
