How do I change my chrome new tab page back to having wigits on it?

I had my chrome set up so when I opened a new tab, I have my home screen and a number of wigit type things (or apps) that would connect me to youtube, google drive, gmail, pandora, etc. However I started chrome the other day and they all disappeared and now it just shows my recently viewed websites.
Any ideas on how to get it back? thanks!

They are still on the new tab page. Click on the cubical (9 boxes) button at the top right of the page. Select from drop down menu.

If you want to go back to the previous version of chrome, you need to uninstall chrome & install an old version. But chrome updates itself automatically so it may not help unless you know how to stop auto-updates.

You need to type "msconfig" in Start > Run Box & disable chrome update from start up services.
