How does Twitter work? how to interact and make new online pals on it?

Well you can search for people at the top right. and if you want your tweet to go to a certain person you Put @ so for me you would type @AlexisStussy then they will know you tweeted them
To get followers tweet a lot and use popular hashtags like if i was listeing to Justin bieber i would put #JB #JustinBIEBER or hashtag the song .

Twitter you Write your Status in 140 Characters Or Less Everybody Can See What you Tweet unless you Protect your Tweets Than Only People Who Follow you Can See it

To Interact With People On it you Can Mention People in your Tweet By Typing @ And Than There Username

Or If They Are Following you and you Are Following Them you Can Send them a Direct Message By Going to There Twitter Profile And Clicking on the Direct message Button
