Looking to market my website on Facebook, whats the best way?
I own a website having to do with college-aged content and is very well aimed at college aged students. I am looking to add as many students from a specific college as I can but I have run out of ideas. I know that if I add students 1 by 1 it will take a very long time, and I will also be banned from Facebook and be labeled as a spammer (this has happened to me before, as I was experimenting with Facebook). Does anybody have any good ideas for gaining as many "friends" as I can from a specific college?

I was thinking about creating an open group, and paying someone that has many friends from the college to add their friends to the open group (with an open group ANY members can add anybody from their friend list) and they will automatically be part of the group, thus I will then be able to reach the people in the group. Should I go about with this "affiliate" strategy? How would I even be able to contact a specific person from this college that has 3k or 4k friends? So many questions...sorry lol
Thanks in advance!

Here is info from Facebook's Help Center:
https://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=15527...ages+or+gr
Pages allow real organizations, businesses, celebrities and brands to communicate broadly with people who like them. Pages may only be created and managed by official representatives.
Groups provide a closed space for small groups of people to communicate about shared interests. Groups can be created by anyone.
Other differences include:
Pages
â–
Privacy: Page information and posts are public and generally available to everyone on Facebook.
â–
Audience: Anyone can like a Page to become connected with it and get News Feed updates. There is no limit to how many people can like a Page.
â–
Communication: Page admins can share posts under the Page’s name. Page posts appear in the News Feed of people who like the Page. Page admins can also create customized tabs for their Pages and check Page Insights to track the Page’s growth and activity.

Groups
â–
Privacy: In addition to an open setting, more privacy settings are available for groups. In secret and closed groups, posts are only visible to group members.
â–
Audience: Group members must be approved or added by other members. When a group reaches a certain size, some features are limited. The most useful groups tend to be the ones you create with small groups of people you know.
â–
Communication: In groups, members receive notifications by default when any member posts in the group. Group members can participate in chats, upload photos to shared albums, collaborate on group docs, and invite all members to group events.

Reading your preferences and Jen Fong's link above, I'd suggest a Facebook Page, because the public, which includes college level students, will find it easily accessible to read and react to, without too many complications of a Facebook Group. One key word is Privacy, A Facebook Page is open to the public, while Facebook Groups can be adjusted to OPEN, CLOSED, or SECRET privacy settings. You can always use FB's PM (Private Message) to reach either a single person or multiple people.

No need to be sorry. Your detailed questions make it easier to help. Much success to your Facebooking and website! God bless
