how can I reset my password for instagram?

About 2 nonths ago was the last time I got on my instagram. I tried to get on from a different device and it said to secure your account you need to reset your your password so I tried but my instagram and facebook were not connected and I would never receive a reset password link or even an email. I tried to log on from a different device but it said that my password or username was wrong and im still not receiving a link to reset my password. What do I do!!!! Please help! Thanks!
