Copy right issues - Photographs?
I maintain a facebook page that updates football news.I got a few images from a friend that i published on my facebook page. He probably didn't know they were copyrighted images. I later came to know they were 16 hours after i posted them. I deleted them as soon as i came to know. I didn't want to let anyone know that they were sent by my friend considering his honor. What are the charges if the photographer does come after me? What Indian Copyright Law say?

You will be of course subject to investigation for copyright infringement under Indian Copyright Act, 1957. The law mentions "artistic work" including, among others, "...a painting, a sculpture, a drawing (including a diagram, map, chart or plan), an engraving or a photograph, whether or not any such work possesses artistic quality..." and "..."photograph" includes photo-lithograph and any work produced by any process analogous to photography..."

You would have to ask your tribal elders which of the US federal laws apply on your reservation, since you are considered a sovereign nation. If you web server and business are on tribal land, you probably cannot be sued in any state or federal court -- only in tribal courts run by tribal judges.
