Can you use facebook pages as evidence in court?
Ex claims he's not working but he has a whole client list and photos of his work on facebook, along with pictures of him actually working. He does work under the table and doesn't file taxes.
How do I prove to a court judge that he's actually working? Ads |

Wow. I'm going through the exact same scenario right now. Facebook pages should be OK. They are public, but you'll have to ask the judge, as I'm doing October 26th. I wondered, when I found the facebook stuff, if he's be stupid enough to post stuff in our old joint e-mail account. I hadn't been in there in years. I found some pretty awful, illegal, fraudulent stuff; not to mention threats to hurt me to his friends. I'm not sure this stuff can be used in court either, but I'm looking into it when I go to court.

If he has that kind of information on facebook that anyone can access, I would think you can use it in court. Copy it electronically or physically and present it to the judge to counter the claim he is not working.

Simple. Take a laptop into court and pull up his Facebook account live and in color.

I know of a situtaion where they did use phone texts and Social Media to prove things in court as these things were "put out into the public domain" and not considered covered under the privacy act.
