SEO and missing page tags?

SEO and missing page tags?
I went through my posts on my word press site and removed the tags that were identical to the post title. I did this because I thought the redundancy gave the post no boost and decide other key words for tags would best leverage the exposure. I just checked the crawl errors on Google Webmaster and each page had an error because the spiders were looking for the tag (must have indexed the tag page?) and didn't find it. I though I would wait it out until Google reindexes my site map again or should I do redirects for these tags that I removed? The errors show domanin/tag/tag name ... should I redirect these to the actual post for 3 months or is there no effect on seo from these errors?

Thanks,

John

You need to tell Google not to index "tag" pages and this is done with the noindex directive. There are several ways to do this, but the easiest I would suggest is to install the All in One SEO plug-in.

Once it's installed, go into the plug-in's options and you will see various things you can do. And one of them is to have noindex for tag or category pages.
