Question for those who have a tumblr?

I sometimes browse tumblrs through google ( i do not have a tumblr) And the first pictures and such that i see are from 5-6 months ago. Have these people not updated their tumblrs? Or is it because i do not have a tumblr, and i'm not following them, do i not see recent submissions, etc..

that's an old post

If you are viewing the posts in a specific Google search, this will depend on how frequently Google crawls any user's Tumblr account. This process may take up to several weeks between each update.

If you are accessing the actual blog from the Google search result (as opposed to singular posts), the blog itself will always be up to date, regardless of whether you are registered or logged in.

I'm not sure how exactly you are performing this search or how you view the results, but if you want to view the most recently crawled pages by Google regarding any search result, simply go to the address bar and add "&sort=date-sdate" at the end of the URL. Hit enter, and Google will sort its search results by date instead of popularity and relevance.
