You can have a blog for free on sites like blogspot.com or livejournal.com. If you want something more professional, you should probably hire someone to create a website for you.

Suprisingly there are some websites that are free to create your own website. I use http://www.webs.com you can create your own free website however you are only allowed a set amount of pages and you do not have your own domain name, such as ".com" you have to use ".webs" or something of that descripton. I'm not sure how much the premium is, but I'm sure it is something minor and you get extra page will the ".com" Which always looks so professional! The website itself guides you through the set up of your own website and gives handy hints. Good luck with your website!

Hi,

If you want to create a blog just as a hobby, you can definitely create one with Wordpress, Blogspot, or Tumblr.

Wordpress is the most userfriendly platform and I would definitely recommend using it but since you are already using blogspot, mind as weill stick with it. Blogspot is also a good platform. You just need some time to edit and customize it a bit to get use to it. It takes time.

Tumblr is different from Facebook. You can either post images on Tumblr or create short articles and post it on Tumblr. Your Tumblr page is like a feed of all your posts. You can mix it up, sometimes post an article or post and sometimes post images. Mix things up a bit to make it more interesting.

Regarding to whether you will appear on Search, it takes time. To appear on Google search, you will have to do something call SEO to optimize your page. There are tons of websites out there so you have to optimize your site so that it will beat others when someone searches for a keyword.

Learn the basics of SEO here and hope your blog will appear in search:
