what i need to do about my ex boyfriend ? Should i leave him ? I am stuck in a rut?

I have a long story , i cut it short, My bf broke up with me two years ago. He broke all his promises of marrying me n so he left me. Then he also deleted me off his fb account as a result when he texted me n i didn't reply him. later on i was dying without him so i added him again n continued a sort of friendship with him. I always compromised n invested more than him n he used to chase after my female friend (who was also his friend but she left him as he left me, so he tried his best to regain his lost friendship with her)
On the other hand i cared for him , loved him but he took me as an option without realizing how much he hurts me. I was the one who used to text him more , chasing after him , Now i have stopped texting him n chasing him , so he now texts me after 10 days or after two weeks n just asks me how i am etc n sometimes like y i haven't texted him at all , where i am .. Whenever i decide to leave him n once i said to him Good bye , he didn't let me go , then y he is keeping me of he isn't treating me good. M confused , he says i am imoprtant for him but he doesn't ask me now even A week ago e text me n says if i am ignoring him then i need to tell him clearly n he got angry. Now he has started ignoring me , i have texted him two times n asked him but he doesn't talk to me well . What i do now ?? :'( it is hurting me He keeps coming back after two or more weeks n just asks me how i am doing n that's it , what i do now to move on ? Do i need to go cold turkey ?

I think you need to move on.. I mean it's been two years and he's just playing with your feelings. Maybe when he gets lonely he will message you. But then when he's talking to another girl he won't text you. Maybe confront him about the situation too. It wouldn't hurt. Like what could he do never talk to you again? Seems like that's not going to happen because he texts you randomly.
