Whats wrong with my wireless connection?
Ok, so for the last two week out of nowhere my laptop has been dropping its internet connection erratically and no matter what I do I don't seem to be able to make it stop. It will just drop and either come back in anywhere from 1-3 min, or as soon as I disconnect and re connect it back up and running. What bothers me the most is that the laptop is only about 20 feet away from the router at all times (by the way the router is just the latest Comcast packaged router) and any product in the house that's hooked up with a LAN works flawlessly...so, is it just the laptop, is it the connectivity?

Is the signal strength very low on the laptop?
Have you tried using another device and still have the same problem? I think it might be a problem with the laptop, try updating the WLAN drivers. or maybe it's because too many clients connected to the same router. the router will share the bandwidth between devices. |

I would take laptop to a friend or coffee shop with wifi and see if it works properly there . If it does not than laptop is faulty .If it works fine than is your modem fault .
