Chrome issues, is it software or hardware related? please help?

My google chrome has suddenly become very slow on some sites, wont load home page when i open the browser, it wont load facebook at all (says the page is unresponsive if anything), but will load other websites just fine, and then some of my apps such as the store, and my music wont open and says i'm not connected to the internet even though i am. A friend suggested i update java, flash, and do windows updates, i did all this and its still doing it. Any ideas/solutions??
