Why can I not see peoples' Facebook pages?

When I search on Facebook, I get pages of results, but I cannot access any pages other than bands. I know that these peoples' pages are not private because my friends - who are not friends with them - can get onto them while I can't. Is this some kind of problem with my Security settings or whatever? It's kind of annoying.

If anyone can tell me how to fix this, Thanks so much.

Well, it's because you're not friends with them.
If you're friends with them, you can view their pages.
That's what makes facebook so safe
