How do I unsync facebook contacts from my HTC inspire?
The HTC inspire just came out last week so there isn't a lot of user information for it on the internet yet. I have been messing around with the phone for a few days now and have yet to learn how to really do anything with it. And as I'm sure you can tell I'm new to the while HTC/Droid market (I'm a former iPhone user). Here are the things I would like to be able to do:

1) Add music and pictures (All my music is stored in iTunes and my pictures in iPhoto).
2) I don't like the fact that when I sign into facebook it automatically synced all the people who had their phone numbers listed into my contacts. I already have most of these peoples numbers and do not need them in my phone twice. And I have already set the settings not to sync but it is still doing it.
3) How do you make/get ring-tones for this phone. I know with the iPhone you could make them in iTunes and sync them to your phone, but I have no clue on this device.

Any other information that anyone would like to share would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I was having a tough time with my contacts too. Here's what I found: Go to your contacts (People) and press the "Menu" button. You should see 6 buttons. Press the "View" button. From here you can decide what you want to see in your contacts. On my phone, I have everything unchecked except for "phone" contacts. I still see the Facebook pictures, status updates, etc. but I don't have duplicate copies of contacts.

BEFORE you can do that though, you need to make sure your SIM contacts are saved to your phone. This is easy. Go to the "People" menu (where you saw the view option) and click "import/export". Then press "import from SIM" and click "phone" (telling the phone where to save the SIM contacts too) and you'll get a list of contacts. Click the menu button and press "select all" and import them! Back in your "View" options, uncheck SIM and check Phone. Your phone contacts are able to be added to favorites (seems SIM can't), you can have FB show data without having dupes, you can have longer names than SIM contacts can, etc.

Hope that helps, the wall of text looks more scary than it is. It's all pretty simple once you get going.
