Do Facebook and Gmail messages/emails appear in your message inbox on an iphone?

Buying an iphone for the first time and just wondering if messages/emails sent by my friends through Facebook and gmail show up in the regular iphone message box?

Or do you have to log into a FB or gmail app to receive them.

Will FACEBOOK messages appear in your default inbox?
No. Unless you mean an email from facebook showing the message, in which case yes.
Solution: Download Facebook messenger off the app store, it's free.

Will EMAILS appear in your default inbox?
Yes. Go into settings>Mail and accounts and set up your gmail.
You can also download other mail apps if you'd like.

iPhones are good, you won't regret it.
