Using a wired internet connection for a PS3?
Is there any of connecting a cable from a phone jack to a ps3 and make a wired internet connection? If so,will the connection feed off of the main router in the house or will it cost to pay for a new signal?

Do you get your internet through dial-up or DSL? Dial-up can't be used to get the PS3 online, you have to have DSL or cable broadband service.

The PS3 can't connect to a phone jack, but it does have a port for wired ethernet, which looks similar to a phone jack but is wider.

You can connect the PS3 to a broadband modem or router using the ethernet ports of each device and an ethernet cable. If you want the internet connection to be able to be shared in the house, then connect to a router that is connected to the modem, because a modem only has one port, while a router has a minimum of four to allow other devices to be connected at the same time.
