atrocious download speeds but high internet speed test results.?

ok so I am attempting to download an nvidia driver. I am using google chrome. My internet speed is 20Mb/s but the speed I am getting on this download is approximately 35KB/s which when I converted that into Mb/s is ..... 0.27Mb/s I know the difference from MB and Mb so don't tell me I confused them. Does anyone know if there is a solution to this or is it just the servers problem.

I just had an nvidia driver update too. I didn't really note how long it took because it DLed and installed in the background without interrupting me.

No doubt there are tens of thousands of clients all trying to connect to servers at the same time, so yeah that can slow each user down drastically. Updates don't happen -often- enough for them to need 24/7/365 access for that many users at once.
