Confused about the maximum bid on Ebay?
Okay so I don't want my money taken away. If the maximum bid I enter is $60 and I get out bid will it keep bidding $60 or that's it? Because I really dont want to lose my money.

if you get outbid then the person who outbid you takes over the auction. that means their bid of $60.50 (or whatever the next increment is) will be winning and you will be out of the auction. so you wont lose anything. except the item, that is. lol

the best way to bid is to snipe. that means putting in your max bid at the latest time possible. this helps avoid bidding wars vs noobs and novices. even if you cant bid at the last minute or second, its still better to do it as late as possible even if its hours or a day or whatever. think about it. if you bid within the last few seconds, a competitor wont have time to react and place another bid. there are lots of people out there who dont really put their max. so when they see they are outbid they put in more bids trying to win. sniping helps prevent that

If I bid 60$ as a maximum bid and someone else bids more, I get to keep my 60$. I have bought at least 100 items.
