I'm having serious Google Chrome problems, how do I fix them?
Hello. I've been using Google Chrome for years and am a help desk tech. I've never seen such problems using Google Chrome. I know it started after I downloaded a free translating program. Here is what is happening
First off: My new tab settings have been switched to a yahoo search engine (I had it set to Google) Next: Google is now in Chinese and even after I reset it it stays in Chinese I cannot change my default browser back to Google I have reset all settings. Deleted the default folder, and deleted Chrome and re installed it and these problems continue to arise. Any help would be wonderful. Thank you! Ads |

why doesn't anyone ever ask google first?
I just did. Apparently you have some sort of virus. http://forums.cnet.com/7723-6132_102-556...n-chinese/ I suggest downloading 1) rkill - from bleepingcomputer.com - run first 2)tdsskiller - from bleepingcomputer.com - run second 3)malwarebytes - from malwarebytes.com - free version, pay attention when going through installation you do not want to activate plus - run 3rd 4) your own anti-virus program. Pay attention when you run rkill. It will tell you what it is doing/shutting down. Good luck. |
