hp pavilion with windows 8 suddenly having difficulties...?
So the other night I came home and my laptop was acting a bit funny. So I thought I would delete some songs from Itunes to help it along but it suddenly froze like that for about 40 minutes. i decided to take the battery out and restart it but it took ages to start up again and now google chrome keeps on crashing, and i can't open too many applications on my laptop or windows itself crashes. i honestly have no idea what to do. can anyone help??

Windows 8 and 8.1, by default Microsoft does not enable "Safe Mode"
If you are able to restart your computer → Charms Menu (bottom RH corner) → Settings → Power Button Hold the Shift Key → click RESTART The computer will restart with a list of options → Continue, Troubleshoot, or Turn off your PC Select either Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Automatic Repair Select Automatic Repair If Automatic Repair fails to resolve the issue, then repeat and select System Restore and select a point in which you know the computer was functioning normally Once the computer is running, now would be your opportunity to enable the Safe Mode feature buried in Windows 8 or 8.1. Right click the START icon in the lower LH corner → Command Prompt (Admin) type → bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy Press Enter Now the computer may enter Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key on System Startup To disable Safe Mode option → Command Prompt (Admin) type → bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy standard Press Enter \\☺ |
