Proxy Help?

As you can tell I'm having a little problem with my proxy. I have an school laptop that I use at home and use internet explorer (gonna get chrome ASAP). I hooked up to my home wifi and chose the home option when it popped up on my screen yesterday. Today after school I went to connect back on and it connected but had the no internet access page. I used to have a small icon in the task bar where I could just click on in and turn proxy on or off. I forgot how to get that and I also don't have administrative access. (Last week I had to get my laptop wiped and they changed the password) so if someone could please help that would be great

well open internet explorer and go to tools--->internet options----->connections------>Lan settings-----> and untick on proxy settings and click ok---- and check it......n don't forget to tick it back as soon as you get to school.....
