Ebay buyer paid after unpaid item case was closed?

Ebay buyer paid after unpaid item case was closed?
I sold an item nearly a month ago now. The buyer did not pay me. I wait more than a week before opening an unpaid item case. Send her an invoice and a private message. I received an echeck from her but it did not clear. I waited another week and sent her another message warning that her check did not clear and that payment was required immediately or I would close the case, block her, and relist the item. I never received a single respose from the buyer. I closed the case and received a message from ebay saying the case was closed, that I'd receive my fees bakc, and that the buyer's account would be noted and she would not be allowed to leave feedback. Great I thought. The next day I relisted the item. Today (3 days after the case was closed) I received an email saying that my buyer paid and I need to ship the item.
I'm looking for advice on how to proceed. I blocked her when I closed the case and don't have a desire to send her the item. Is there a way to deny her payment? I've already got new bidders on the relisted item and don't want to end teh auction.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Phone ebay and ask. You can do that, you know!

This doesn't sound right at all, once an unpaid item dispute ends in your favour you are entitled to relist your item for sale again. How has the buyer paid with Paypal? Are you sure it is a genuine email from Ebay? Where are the cleared funds showing if she has allegedly paid are they in your bank or Paypal. I advise you to just accept Paypal in future it is much more straightforward I find.

You really need to contact Ebay here & find out what is going on, message them in the first instance but I'm sure there is a phone number for the helpline, you might have to trawl Google to find it they don't advertise the fact they have a phone number but they do.

Good luck & don't end the new auction, the previous bidder has no claim on this item once the unpaid item dispute ends.

PayPal sends an eCheque when the buyer has no backup funding, i.e. only one payment method on file (Card expired?) and it does take several weeks to clear properly.

In the circumstances all you can do is issue a refund from PayPal *IF* the funds are cleared into your account now, if they're not cleared (yet) then wait 'til they are. eBay closed the case in your favour so you're not obliged to send the item anymore, and it's the previous buyers loss, unfortunate for them but it's as good as sorted for you. Just let the new auction run and hopefully you'll have a new buyer soon. Good luck Smile
