If I don't have a web cam can I still use skype?
I have a set of headphones with a mic so I was wondering if I can just watch, listen and talk to someone else who has a camera.

You should be able to, yes. You can do calls with no camera, and there's an Instant message option, too.

Yes you should be able to make calls without a camera, And you will be able to see the person who does have the camera. like the person before me said, there is a chat option, but you not having a camera has nothing to do with you not being able to use skype.

You don't have to have anything.

Texting
Calls
Video call

Are all possible via Skype. With or without a camera / microphone.

yes you will be able to use skype without webcamera. just download it and install it into your pc. you'll be able to use skype but you can't make vedio call.other things you can do. if you make a vedio call, your friend can not see you. but vedio call can be given.
note that if your friend doesn't have wbcamera too, both of you can not see each other.
to see each other, you should have webcamera, but without it you can make vedio call but you will not see each other. if your friend has a webcamera you can see hm/her.
