How do I get a guys number with out him thinking I like him?

I think he likes me because when he looks at me and I look at him he looks at the ground but I don't know. He is very shy and doesn't have many friends but I really like him and he's not the prettiest person but I like him for what he is on the inside so please help so really want his number he has NO social media. Please help!
I do like him he's just so shy I don't want to scare him off and I don't have a boyfriend.

I think he have problems that he needs to deal with. You tell him that you like him. At least that is the least you can do. Just because he is shy doesn't means that you have to be too. Ask him for his number, if he refuses don't feel bad. You did your part on trying to make a relationship happen, if he doesn't do his part then it's not your fault. Just move on if that happen.

Ask him that you want his phone number in case you ever miss a day of algebra and need to call someone for the homework.

Well maybe you guys can do a project together and say, hey so I'll text you the details? Or something like that. Or talk to him more and get to know him (once You guys are close) then ask him if he has a girl friend or if he likes someone.
