I'm confused about my posts on blogspot.?
Hi there.

So I'm really new to Blogger and so far I've been doing really well but the Posts have really got me puzzled! I feel shy posting on here but I've already done a lot of Googling and found no answers.

I've written a tester article on my blog, which was an interview i did a few months back so it's quite long. I know Fleurdeforce (a beauty expert) has a Blogspot so i looked on her blog for ideas with what i could do to sort out my posts. I noticed that on her Blogspot main page she has a small paragraph or two about one of her posts then underneath she has a read more which takes you to the full length post. Then underneath that little preview she has another post, about the same size with yet another read more button and, of course, if you click on that one that takes you to the full sized article. I've been searching on Google on how to get this short preview but I've had no luck.

I'm not great at explaining so i advise to take a trip too FleurDeForce's Blogspot and have a look, i just don't want my main page of my blog just being one full article after another I'd like it to look professional since they'll be a lot of articles and interviews on there. I did try editing the post, deleted everything just left a paragraph and a picture and added a link inside a read more i wrote myself but when you clicked on the full post that's exactly what i had.

After Googling for a while i feel its obvious and that the answer is in front of me, someone help me. Thanks!

Katie, sometimes if you want to learn how a webpage is designed, you have to look at that particular page source code. To view the source code on her website is as follows:

Go to her webpage -->Right Click--->Select view source.

Another option you have in to inspect the elements, which is a very useful feature in Google Chrome. It's the same as the first instruction, but instead of selecting view source, you [inspect] elements.

With that said, I'm providing you with with a helpful tutorial that will direct you in creating your website. Please post an update if additional information or resources are needed.

Update: 1

Katie, these tutorials should step you through exactly what you need to do to code your website to look similar to the example that you provided in your question. I could type it out for you, but yahoo answers doesn't format code and it's kind of lengthy.

Good luck!
