What is the photography of objects called?
I like taking pictures with my phone. Check out my pics on Instagram - @the_upload_of_tanay .
Generally I love taking pics of certain objects like earphones, artifacts, animals, etc. These are obviously objects and not a scenery of any kind. So what is this kind of photography known as ??

I wish you Instagram users would learn to leave a link one might actually follow without having to jump through hoops. At least your offering did actually turn up an Instagram user. Many do not..

Photos of animals might be wildlife photography, or pet photography or nature.

Closeups of things are called closeup or macro. This type of photography can include bugs and flowers, artifacts or earphones.

Photos of inanimate objects, especially if they have been arranged into groupings and careful attention is being paid to lighting, are called still life. If the photo is of a building, it is architectural photography. If you're on vacation and capturing the culture of a place, it might be travel photography.

Photos of scenery are landscape or seascape, or if you're making vistas of an urban area, cityscape. A landscape might or might not show "hand of man".

Photos of people are portraiture, either posed or candid, studio or environmental, or street.

I did find your Instagram and had a peek. The vast majority of your work could be called typical teen photography, mostly consisting of pets and random closeups. There were 3 pictures on there that I liked quite a bit. The format there makes it almost impossible to tell you which ones, but the landscape with clouds (the first one), the shot with the bridge and flowers, and the white dog on the beach were probably nice before you filtered them through Instagram. The dog shot in particular was compelling. You were on the dog's level, the dog's expression was engaged, the background is pretty and not distracting, and who doesn't like a rubber ducky? The yellow overlay is quite awful.

If you want to learn much about photography, you will need a camera where you can adjust the settings and learn to control your exposure. If you are using a phone, you will have to learn about good composition to make your photos better. Here is a link for beginning to learn composition:

Continue to learn and have fun. Happy shooting!
