Is facebook being attacked/used by scammers/spammers?

one of my friends apparently sent a wallpost to almost every single one of her friends on facebook, all 450 of them! This happened between 3am and 5am

every single post said that the person's profilepicture / default image is being featured on/ is all over (somethingsomething).com

now there is no way that u can sent THAT many wallposts THAT fast, trust me, i just had a birthday and it took me like forever, like two days to reply to like 50 wallposts, theres now way this was really her either

this is strange because every one of these sites has lots of questions about it all over this yahoo answers thing

and it looks like a huge scam or virus or something

can anybody explain this crazy phenomenon?

People are developing "virus" that send out a link to all of your friends facebook walls. The link given takes you to a site that then tells you that you don't have the latest version of flash, or something of that nature, and when you click to install it, it loads a "virus" that does the same thing on your facebook, sending messages to all your friends.

i know this has been going on - I don't know how but it has also been going on the bebo site (social networking) too. I hope i havent sent any

The ones I see are linking you to a site where a user says I have seen you do this and that which claims to be embarrasing - once you click on the video it asks you to download a piece of spyware.
