So there is this guy that i liked about 4 years ago but nothing happened between us even though I was told that he liked me back. Last time we talked was 4 years ago because he changed school. About 1 week ago i talked to him through Facebook. We chatted for a long time and there was no awkwardness in the conversation, it felt like we have been talking frequently. I really want to talk with him but I don't want to always text him first. We have many things in common but we haven't had physical contact for a long time. Is there something I can do to make him interested in me without seeming too desperate? What can I do??
I forgot to mention that he stayed up until 1.30a.m. talking with me and when i texted him "we'll talk again" he replied ";)". So... I don't want him to get annoyed by texting him first... Thanks!

maybe you could suggest meeting up again, in person? you could do something you both like, so it won't be as weird or uncomfortable as most first dates often are. just be yourself, that's my best advice

During a chatting session I would just say "we need to hand out sometime soon" or even invite him to a specific event. If The dude is chatting with you he is interested. Guys don't waste their energy talking to someone that they are not interested in . Just bring it up casually and see what happens. Good luck!

Here are some ideas that might get him to contact you first:
1. Post a photo from your class 4 years ago, if he's in it you can tag him and he might talk to you about it.
2. If you remember any of his inerests like a song or something, share it and see if he comments, then you can take it to chat.
3. Start a group chat and talk about the ol days and what not, then talk to him mostly and just take it to private chat, it won't seem desperate because you two were already talking amongst other people (doesn't make it obvious that you only want to talk to him).

Another idea for when you are talking to him would be to bring up the time that you liked eachother and ask if his friends were right to say he liked you. this will bring tons of memories flooding back to him and he will probably think about it for the day, then he might ask to meet up ans catch up! (*Fingers crossed*)
