How do you make your PS3 Internet connection faster?

I recently bought a PS3 system and I was wondering how to make the Internet connection faster. I used a cable but it was really slow.

i think wireless is the way to go because right now i am using a wireless internet conncection and dowsnstais is the router well my dad he uses a lan cable and we tested it and we click on the internet logo and i won by like 5 seconds so i suggest maybe get like a wireless router because the ps3 is wireless and also i think its called linksys all you do is connect to the router and it will send out wireless signalls...good luck

If you want a faster internet speed, you'll have to upgrade your connection through your Internet Service Provider (the company that you buy your internet connection from) Try to get broadband with a speed over 3000 kbs.

EDIT- You don't connect a wireless adapter to the PS3, the PS3 has built in wifi, you just need a modem/router to send out the wireless signal.
