Difference between Groups and Pages on Facebook?

Can anyone tell me the difference between groups and pages in Facebook? I have joined pages and groups and sometimes there are similar things on both so I can't tell what the difference is. Thanks!

i dnt think there's a major difference ... pages are for artists,movies,brands...etc and all people all over the world can see it ... but as for groups,u can make a secret group or a closed group with some of your friends so not anyone can see it .. also u can specify in ur group that only members of your network can see it ..
also u can message the members of your group if u are the admin ..
