Is an SEO company worth the money for a computer repair business?
Please only respond if you have experience in this matter.

I own a small computer repair business in a Dallas area suburb. I have seen fast, noticeable results with my Google rankings from my new SEO campaign. But so far, I have not seen any results in call volume. We are, for now, only using key words that correspond to my suburb. Soon, we will spread to other neighboring suburbs and then eventually to Dallas.

My company is already among the top two results in the first page for computer repair, virus removal, and laptop removal for my suburb. But still no phone calls. Should I be patient and wait for the SEO campaign to spread? Or should I back out now? It's costing me 800. a month. About to begin the third month.

I have worked on a variety of SEO campaigns in my day, and from what I have seen regarding SEO, it is a long term process that can take 6-9 months to show consistent results. Are you paying $800 a month to an agency, or is that the internal resources that you are using to run the campaign? If you are paying an agency, you need to make sure you are asking them the right questions, and holding them accountable for the strategies that they are implementing. As a small local business, make sure you are utilizing the Google Maps listings. Claiming your listing on Google maps, and making sure that you utilize the Local Business center is crucial for local businesses. Appearing in the 10-pack listings at the top of the page can generate traffic to your site. The profile also allows you to enter phone number and business hours, as well as other information about your company. Lastly, are you using an analytics system such as Google Analytics to track visitors to your site. Google Analytics is free, and is a great resource to see how many visitors your site is getting on a daily basis.

Ultimately, I think you should be a little more patient with these efforts. 2 months is a little early to pull the plug, in my opinion. Strategic SEO campaigns are more about traffic to your site than rankings. Keep that in mind when working with an agency. Anyone can rank on an obscure phrase with little effort, but you need to make sure you are ranking for the right phrases to generate relevant visitors to your site.

I hope this information is helpful. Good luck with your SEO campaign. I hope it proves successful for you.

Yes it is worth the money. They can increase the traffic to your site which would increase your sales. No traffic means lower sales.
