Can you hide your profile picture from certain friends on facebook?

Say I have a profile picture of a dog(example) as my profile picture and I want to completely hide it from certain friends on facebook.. what do i do? If I click custom and then under hide from i type in their name.. they can still see my profile picture when they go on my wall.They just cant click on it but they can see a tiny version of it.. How do i completely hide that from certain people ? I dont want to delete them.

Unfortunately your profile picture can be seen by absolutely everyone on Facebook. If you don't want certain friends to see particular albums though you can create categorical groups of friends like "best friends", "close friends", "acquaintances" and so on - and with these groups you can choose particular display settings and the visibility of photo albums.

blocking them is the only way to make sure they dont see it, assuming they dont have more than one account - then there is nothing you can do except just not make it your default picture
