It's fine if you tell her in person as well. That'd also mean a lot more to her, probably. People usually choose facebook because they fear the reaction they may get, or may feel awkward, so I don't see why people think that's a bad option anyway. But sure, it's okay to do both of those.

Ok... First let me tell you something... So this guy I know told this girl on Facebook that he liked her and she totally friend zoned the dude...(this is just a possibility).... Then he asked her for her number..... Next thing you know, he gets blocked..... I'm not saying this will happen to you cuz this is just an experience. If you think she likes you back then go for it but don't make a move so quickly and out of nowhere.
