Anyone familiar with On Page SEO?
Hey guys, is anyone familiar with on page SEO? My site is ranking on the 1st and 2nd page of google for a few different keyword phrases, but i was wondering if i can rank even higher if i optimize my home page title to contain these same keywords (currently i use less targeted/more generic phrases on the title), or do i risk losing my current rank if i do so? Any suggestions are welcome.

You might try creating more keyword dedicated inner pages instead of messing with a successful home page, write a post, optimizing the meta title, header, tags, and content with a primary keyword in mind, you can write for your audience without getting too spammy in your keyword use and still rank well with less chance of being penalized. There are few online tools that will analyses your on page optimization, though I would not rely on old keyword density guidelines, tougher standard and the increased use of human reviewers makes artificial looking content more risky.

An advantage of SEO for inner pages, if you get an "unnatural link pattern" warning due to your backlinking strageties, it's easier to shedthe backlinks going to an inner page, by just changing it's resuls, while you are stuck with links to your home page, where it's best to only get quality backlinks,

Don't change your title in recently, you will loss your current ranking. google will think you have change your target and re-consider if it is worthy to give you higher rank, I don't have your site. so i can not give you more details. If you title has the main keywords you can rank it. but if you don;t you can change the meta description, meta keywords, but not the meta title. And you can update the articles in the page which is have the good rank and insert the target keywords into the article. it will help you get more ranking in different keywords. Lucas

In search engine optimization, on-page optimization refers to factors that have an effect on your Web site or Web page listing in natural search results. These factors are controlled by you or by coding on your page. Examples of on-page optimization include actual HTML code, meta tags, keyword placement and keyword density.
