connection problems with netgear?
the router i use is a -range max dg834pn adsl wireless modem all the front lights work including the one that looks like a two link chain interlocked-the problem is when i tried to swap over to a netgear adsl2 dg834g v4 router i could not connect to the net and the two link chain icon would not light up is there a simple answer to this problem or not as i am not very tech savvy-when i switch back to my range max i still have trouble connecting but after a long spell the interlocked chains do light up so giveing me a chance to request help and a way simply to solve my problem-heres hopeing.thanks

you need to enter the details of the old connection (as provided by your ISP) into the new router, otherwise it will never work. Either contact your Internet service provider help line and they can provide the details or walk you thru the new setup or log into the router with your username and login details go to the set/configuration page, print off the details and enter them into the new setup
