Apparanly if you put your pictures on facebook, Facebook then own those pictures and can do whatever they want with them. is this true Is it safe to put pics on fbookfbook

Yes, and no. They can use them for any sort of advertising to you while you're on Facebook, as soon as you delete your account, everything that you ever posted gets deleted.
