I've only visited two of these unfortunately. The Kimberly looks spectacular.

What a fantastic country! I've only been to a few of the spots too, and The Kimberley is at the top of my list, as is the "big lap of Australia". Oh for the time to do it all justice!

I have been to most - except Lord Howe Is, Hamilton Is & Saffire Freycinet in Tas. I haven't done the full road trip around Australia - but have done much of it. While based at Kalgoorlie I had the unrestrained use of a small plane (seized from drug dealer) & pilot & got to see much from the air. Olgas, Bungle Bungles, Great Australia Bight & much of the red centre.

I've done a couple of trips to Tas but it's the first I've heard of Saffire Freycinet. I worked in the Kimberley Region for three years & saw of much as I could with fishing trips; cattle station & aboriginal community patrols.

My home town is just south of Margaret River.

I love this country but for me, the more isolated the better.

Its a pretty good list. Only the Kimberleys and the round Australia Road trip (although have done the Darwin to Adelaide run) missing from my list although Lord Howe has some 40 years ago. Know a few people who have stayed at Sapphire, personally Id prefer to camp on Maria Is or in Freycinet national park itself over a luxury resort.

Never put a lot of faith in top 10 lists they are too subjective and too often compiled to sell magazines.

I've been to most of them, Lord Howe Island is on my bucket list. I don't like resort type holidays, they are just not my thing but if you do like them then there are some wonderful suggestions there.
