how to delete your facebook account ?

you have to phone them and prove all sorts of things then wait ages, like years

Well, I'm not sure you can, but under deactivating it, there should be one that says "I'm not coming back" or something alike, I think that's the closest you'll get. I'm pretty sure Facebook is one of the networks that'll keep your account forever, and it can't be completely deleted.

Sorry dear,
you just deactivate your account that's look like permanently delete.
Because there is no such option like this to delete permanently your account.

There is a delete option somewhere in account management. I can't look as I deleted my account ages ago.

However after you select delete, if you log in at anytime during the delete phase (it's a couple of weeks or so), it cancels the delete. At least that's how it was when I did it.
