Why does my McAfee software think I do not have an internet connection?
I am running XP. I'm running McAfee Internet Security Suite. I have an active account. It's been running just fine for the past eight months. I definitely have an internet connection. But today I went to update virus signatures manually, and it tells me that there's no internet connection. Yet I do. Interesting?
Yes, I have double checked my subscription.
Yes, I did re-install software properly.
Solutions?
Well, I was able to solve my own problem... I think. I downloaded and used "superantispyware" from the site with the same name. It totally seems to have taken care of this problem. It appears that I was attacked with a viri that managed to skip passed the McAfee. Thanks for your kind attention.
