Is it legal to buy a domain name with twitter on it?

I want to buy a domain that contains the word twitter. Is it legal? Can they take my domain name if I purchase and shut down my business? thanks

It's a trademarked name. They can and will come after you.

I believe there can be cyber squatting issues for incorporating a trademarked name in a domain, Ebay is known to automatically send a cease and desist notice to any new site who's name contains Ebay. Google sued 50 sites over a misleading Work at Home for Google advertising scheme, that was deceptive in many ways, but it happens the ones they choose to sue had Google in the domain names.
